Architectural Signage Project
Banff Sign Co. managed this signage project from manufacturing to install. The scope included architectural signage, ADA compliant hotel room numbers and interior directional signage. The Mount Royal Hotel in Banff, Alberta has been an iconic tourist attraction for decades. Our team worked in collaboration with Evans Hunt and Cygnus Design Group to completely redesign the interior and exterior signage for Pursuit Banff Jasper Collection (the client).
Interior and Exterior Wayfinding Systems
This signage project consisted of router-cut and hand painted 2-inch thick letters made from western red cedar, mounted with a hidden top rail panel above the prestigious entrance designed by Dialog. All interior directional signs were fabricated using P99 Acrylic with Custom Screen Printing and tactile dimensional lettering. This project allowed Banff Sign Co. to maximize all of our manufacturing skills and professional project management (PMP) capabilities. Although this project was in our backyard, Banff Sign Co. manages projects throughout Western Canada. Many of our notable projects include Prince of Wales Hotel in Waterton National Park, Malign Canyon in Jasper National Park and Columbia Icefields Monument Signs, Monoliths and Pylon Signs. If you have a creative wayfinding sign project, we’d love to help!
Award Winning Signs
Pursuit Collection engaged us to re-create an original historic Neon Sign which once graced the front of the Mount Royal Hotel (black and white image shown in the gallery). Having only an old photo to work from, we successfully re-created the original Neon Sign from scratch! Banff Sign Company was thrilled to have been awarded the 2018 Best of Canada’s Sign Industry Award. The Mount Royal Neon Sign was awarded first place in the BOCSI Awards, presented at the Sign Expo in Toronto, Canada by the Sign Association of Canada (SAC ACE). It’s recognition like this that keeps us passionate about delivering the highest quality designs and signage fabrication.
