Original Signage Design
Exploring works up an appetite and our team is always ready to sink their teeth into the next project. Maligne Canyon Wilderness Kitchen is Jasper’s original smokehouse and cafe experience located at the trailhead of the iconic Maligne Canyon. The Banff Sign Company has a long history of being the foremost authority on developing original signage design and fabricating bespoke wood signs for any environment.
Rustic But Refined
Not only do we embrace our wood working heritage, but we’re constantly upgrading and implementing new technologies to further set us ahead of the pack. This was the approach we took when our partner Pursuit expressed their desire for interactive table numbers. With help from the Whyte Museum historic photos and bios of some of the most daring explorers from days past were direct printed to live edge pine slabs to sit proudly and inspire visitors as they wait for smokehouse-flavoured dishes seasoned with exploration and adventure. Pairing craftsmanship with technology wasn’t only kept indoors. Two carved cedar monument signs were built with hidden LED light bars and powered by solar panels. The lighting output was an important consideration and our design was conscious to include shielded fixtures and the lowest wattage bulbs available as recommended by the Dark Sky Society.
A Wild Team
With brand direction from Evans Hunt, the Banff Sign Company worked with Cornad Contracting to successfully manage this remote project and complete the entire installation using our professional sign installation crew. Remote locations can prove difficult situations if every detail and contingency are not planned and understood by the entire team. Projects like these fortify our respect for the men and women who discovered these remarkable places for future generations to enjoy. Contact us for your next project and join our Wall of Fame!
